Steelworks Manufacturing's Rugid Roll-Up Fabric Doors are designed to meet the needs of an application where hard panel doors end and high-speed doors begin. These doors are optimal for openings that need the flexibility and durability, while remaining cost-effective. These doors provide high-quality reliability for demanding applications, being the most durable screen door on the market.

Rugid Roll Doors provide the flexibility to customize and meet your specific needs for most openings from 2 'x 2' all the way up to 30' x 30’. We offer many standard options to make specifying your door easy. We are often asked for specific custom options to get the perfect fit so if you need something designed just for you, we will be glad to work with you to customize to your exact needs.

All of our door components can be made from 304 or 316 stainless steel for a completely corrosion-proof door system.

Standard Features that Make the Rugid Roll truly Rugged and Reliable.

Curtains: All of our curtains are built to last. We use the latest RF welding technology along with heavy-duty fabric to custom make each curtain. All of our curtains feature a 6” wide double layer of vinyl fabric along the vertical edges to protect against wear inside the guide tracks. Horizontal pockets across the full width of the curtain at different height intervals. Depending on the door size each pocket has a ¼”, 3/8” or ¾” thick x 2” tall aluminum flat bar wind rib. Attached to the ends of each wind rib is a machined UHMW wind lock that rides inside the guide track and eliminates the wind from blowing the curtain out of the guide track and further protects the curtain as it cycles up and down the guide tracks. Each wind rib is flexible enough to withstand heavy impacts and retain its original shape.

Curtain barrels: All of our barrels are built to higher standards than most rolling steel doors. Depending on the door size we use 4”, 6” and 10” pipe. We counterbalance every door with a torsion spring inside each barrel to precisely counterbalance the weight of the curtain and we finish it off with solid 1”, 1 ¼” or 1.5” machined drive shafts and high cycle bearings. Multiple bearing plates along the spring shaft inside the barrel allow the door to smoothly cycle and balance for years of trouble-free operation.

Guide tracks: Heavy-duty formed angles or structural angles are used to provide solid attachment to your building. Each guide face is formed from heavy-duty steel that has an integral wind lock edge formed along with the full height of the leading edge. This wind lock edge works in conjunction with the UHMW wind locks on the curtain to keep your door in the guides.

Roll cover: As a standard, all of our doors have a formed roll cover. This cover is constructed from 18 ga. steel and has a full-width weather seal baffle on the inside and finish coated with enamel paint on both the inside and outside. These hoods are always one piece for ease of installation and overall strength

Curtain Choices:

Solid vinyl: 40 oz, 35 oz, or 18 oz per square yard weights
Vinyl Screen: Standard mesh sizes are 9x9, 11x17, and other mesh sizes available to fit your requirements.

Standard curtain colors: Royal Blue and Black. Other curtain colors are Orange, yellow grey and green. Custom colors may be available, consult the factory.

Rugid Roll Express VFD Drive for speeds of up to 24" per second.
Jackshaft, Hoist, and Gear Head Models are each available in single-phase and three-phase voltages.
